Hello. Sex in general is scary! It's dangerous with all the stds and such ... not to mention the emotional turmoil relationships can cause.

Also, the "pain" factor is frightening. I'm a woman, I understand. I've had anal sex too ... and you have a right to be afraid. With the wrong partner, it can be miserable. As can love!

The key is finding someone you love, trust, and respect...and that feels the same way about you. That way, any initial pain and anxiety fades away into the good feeling of connecting with someone.

I've never received anal sex, and I've been out for almost 30 years. I had colitis, so that meant nothing up the butt, followed by an ileostomy (a bag attached to my abdomen which collects poop), which closed off the butt completely.

You can only get AIDS from unprotected sex with someone who is already infected. That can be from bodily fluids (blood or semen) and could also be contracted by using unsterililzed needles. A lot of guys (thinking that AIDS is a thing of the past) are taking chances by not using condoms, and the rates of HIV are increasing.

You don't need to have anal sex. Luckliy my last ex and my present partner have no interest in having anything up their butts either. They have no problems with masturbation sessions and kissing/cuddling. If you find someone you would like to have a relationship with, please set those guidlines first. Who knows? He may not want it either.

That doesn't make sex scary dear...whether its straight or gay...secondly cancer is not a sexually transmitted disease and you can't get aids from cancer either!!
