My hub is in military for FAFSA reasons should we both file separate. to increase my chances.?

my husband got married this past january. i want to fill out my FAFSA and i need my tax info to do my FAFSA. i need to know if it's more of a benefit to me if i file my taxes separate from my husband so that i can receive more financial assistance.

should i allow my husband to file me as his dependent? or should we both file separate since i need financial aid for school?

Even if you file your taxes seperately you still have to show his taxes/income on your fafsa application
