Financial Aid for Middle Income Family? |
I'm 31 and a stay at home mom and looking to go to college. My family of 4 is considered to be middle income but our bills eat us alive. Currently we are renting our house and have no assets. I was wondering if there is any loans or financial aid for middle income families. I went to the FSFA website but it tells me I should have $12,000 available for school. Come on the reason I looking into going to college is here in Delaware there is no good jobs unless you have a college education. Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated. fill out the financial aide packet and see how much they will pay. You have 4 children that is a 6 person house hold, so that should be in your favor. I would contact the school you are interested in and speak to someone in the financial aide office. I'm sure their is some. My mom and I are in the same situation, (buts its me looking for a private high school i don't want to go, but my mom wants me too, even though we are going broke), and we just applyed for financial aid. Unfortunately what they expect you to pay is usually more than you feel you can afford. Try starting at a CC while saving money for the last 2 years. Everyone is also entitled to unsubsidized student loans. |
