My EFC is 857; is that good or bad? |
I filled out my FAFSA (free aplication for student aid) like a week ago and got a report back today: it said my EFC (estimated family contribution) was 857. How does that 'rank' on the scale? Is it high or low? This is low, but since you or your parents have not done their taxes yet, it will probably change when they do and you have to correct everything you entered. That's not too bad. You still qualify for some Pell grant funds. The lower the EFC number, the more you are eligible for... |
