How do I go about getting a student loan?

I'm going to college this fall and I have no idea whatsoever how to go about getting a student loan that I don't have to pay till after graduation. Scholarships and financial aid just didn't work out for me so I really have no other choice. Any help and information would be greatly appreciated.

File FASFA form to get Stafford and Perkin Loans. Option II: Go to a bank for Private students loans that are based on credit. I don't think any lender will give you private student loans without having good credit.

You are stating that you don't qualify to complete the FAFSA because you said that financial aid didn't work for you. Why not!
The best type of loan to receive are Stafford Loans, but you must complete the FAFSA application in order to receive it. The government will pay the interest on the Subsidized Stafford loan while you are in school if you qualify and also there are no credit checks.

If you don't complete the FAFSA, then you have to go to the bank to get an alternative loan which could have interest of 18% or higher. This is the worse loan that you can get.

Go to the financial aid office at your school and talk with them about applying for Stafford and complete the FAFSA.
