Do you have to fill out your fafsa every year? |
I've previously filled out my financial aid for the 2008-2009 school year, which I did online(not the paper version). I was wondering, do I have to complete my fafsa for the 2009-2010 school year all over again,or is the information already stored? You do have to fill out a new fafsa every year. Part of your information will be remembered.. things that don't change like dob and such, but you will need to enter in your updated income information. YES!! Do this as soon as you have your taxes ready! It's due in March. The sooner you get it done (and are not late) the better you'll do. Once you have this done you can also apply for scholarships to your school. The information is already stored BUT you still have to re-submit it with any necessary changes (Address, Financial Situation, etc) next year. The good news tho...you don't have to start from scratch! |
