Can someone tell me about the Preparer's Information on the FAFSA? What does that mean?

when I filled out my application, it asked me nothing about that. Is that required? Please help soon. I need my finical aid.

If you complete the FAFSA, but you are not the student, the student's spouse, or the student's parent, you must complete the Preparer's Information section of the application, providing your Social Security Number and Employer Identification Number. You would do the same thing if you were preparing an income tax return for someone else.

If you completed your own FAFSA, you would not have been asked the Preparer's Info questions, as they would not apply to your situation.
