What are the policies of the Tory party apart from lifting the foxhunting ban?

David Cameron and his cronies have resulted in mud slinging in an attempt to divert attention away from the fact that they have NO policies except the lifting of the foxhunting ban, a ban rightfully put in place to protect a defenceless animal. The Tories and Lib-Dems know their chance of forcing an election before the information about their expenses hits the fan is running out and, that is why they, aided by the right wing media and the BBC are hell bent on broadcasting lies, lies and more lies about unrest in the Labour party. The Tory party have even fooled some minority groups into believing they will fight for their rights, absolute drivel. The Daily Telegraph and the BBC are responsible for the success of the BNP gaining 2 seats in Europe and they will live to regret this if the BNP ever get powerful enough to end democracy in GB. They are frightened that the economy will recover before the next general election, and it looks as though it is doing that right now and the credit must go to the Labour Party led by Gordon Brown for this, he is no film star but he the right man to lead this country out of the global credit crunch.

As for Brown he has no one but himself to blame for the current economic crisis -

It was Brown who took away banking regulations from the Bank of England back in the 1990's and gave it to the FSA, despite being warned that the Bank of England had hundreds of years of experience and the FSA was relatively unknown quantity. In the end the FSA were massively criticised for their poor regulation of the city and banking sector.

It was also Gordon Brown who encouraged borrowing as Chancellor with his budgets being nicknamed the credit card budgets.

Article from 2004 -

It was also Gordon Brown who sold the nations gold as Chancellor when gold was at a record low, the same gold is now worth over tens times as much.

It's Gordon Brown and New Labour who have now straddled the country with 拢1.4 Trillion ($2 Trillion USD) in debt, meaning that who ever gets in to power there will have to be massive cuts. At the same time it's Brown and New Labour who have used PFI as a means to borrow money from the private sector using hire purchase agreements meaning state schools, hospitals and prisons will be many times more expensive to fund in the future than if they had used traditional funding and building arrangements.

As a result of Brown and Daroing's massive borrowing, Britain's credit rating has plummeted and we now have a large budget deficit with the IMF have recently told Brown that he must be more vigorous in paying back this debt and in cutting back public services in Britain.

The waste of resouces by this Government has been unbelievable including 拢20 Billion on an NHS Computer System that doesn't work, Billions in Departmental Consultants and State Quangos and Billions on PFI Schemes which are set to straddle us with yet more debt for decades. Also lets not forget the billions to be spent on ID Cards by New Labour.

The recent Channel 4 Dispatches expose 'How they Squander Our Billions', gave an insight in to just how wateful this present Labour regime are -

We have has 12 years now of New Labour's stealth taxes, ranging from new taxes on pension schemes through to small business taxes and taxes on householders. Brown and Darling even tried to raise the 10p tax for the poorest in society, until there was a major public backlash.

I also pity the poor pensioners who rely on their savings who are being hit by low interest rates, indeed we should be encouraging people to save not punishinhg them for it.

Finally as traditional Labour Left Winger Frank Field recently pointed out this Labour Government has failed in it's promise to hold a referendum on European issues and has failed to manage immigration at sensible levels and that is why UKIP, the BNP and other parties are taking the mantle from New Labour and why Labour is being destroyed as a political force.

As time goes by and it looks as if this recession is starting to come to an end, David Cameron looks weaker and weaker on policy. At the last two prime ministers questions every single question was about calling an election, or questioning the personnel of the labour party. Not one on policy because he knows he is weak - I think time is running out for David Cameron and he knows it.

i could not agree with you more
house sales are up the slump is bottoming out and the only way is up.
but that's the last thing the Tories want you to hear.
sadly i think its to late, we will see Cameron as PM nd i think it really will be a sad day for the UK

Welcome to the 21st century world of politics or politics in general.

They do have policies, but we have a general election in under a year, for Christ's sake. Do you really expect them to go around announcing all their policies now? They're saving them until the election is announced, so they can use it to help them campaign. If they announced them now, come the general election everyone would be saying "yes, but you told us that ages ago, what are your NEW policies". So they are saving them for later.

But some of their policies have been announced. Yes, the hunting ban will be over turned (it does not "protect a defenceless animal" as the hunts carry on regardless, and foxes are a disease-ridden menace on the countryside and need to be controlled - it's only people who live in cities and have no idea what a pest these animals are who support the ban. Also, we eat meat, wear fur and leather, put animals in zoos and test medicines on them, none of this "protects" them, but is beneficial, so is tolerated. The same goes with fox hunting.) thankfully, and they will also hold a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty (unless it has been ratified, in which case a referendum would be pointless). They are also going to cut government spending in order to try to reduce debt (which is again a good thing, and indeed the sensible and proven thing to do in a recession).

But I've also not seen Labour announcing any policies recenty, so it's not like it's just the Tories.

Sorry, how are the Telegraph and BBC responsible for the BNP getting into power? The uneducated morons who swallowed the BNP's "we'll help make Britain a better place" crap are the ones responsible (and the government, for failing to create an educated electorate).

And I think you'll find that the Tories and the Lib Dems have already had their expenses exposed, so they have nothing to worry about - indeed, less to worry about than Labour, because Cameron and Clegg were the only ones to suggest solutions (Brown just copied their ideas).

I am sorry to disagree with you but the UK has now borrowed so much money to prop up banks that should have been left to go bus t and face the consequence of their actions and that piece of crass stupidity was done by your friend Mr Brown. Spend and more spending when spending on the never never is what got us all into this damn mess in the first place. Please look up post - Keynesian Economists and you'll find out very quickly that Taxes have to rise or Expenditure has to be cut to pay back borrowings or else we'll go bankrupt like Iceland!
