Moving To Japan And Need A Job. Please Help!?

I am planning on a move to Japan in the near future and was wondering what kind of jobs are available to a Canadian with only basic japanese language skills(i am studying japanese). I don't have a degree so i can't do most teaching jobs but what about like a teachers aid. Any information and links are much appreciated!

I see answers like Carl's all the time. He is American and therefore assumes everyone else is American or that rules that apply to him automatically apply to everyone else.

You are Canadian. You can get a working-holiday visa if you are between 18 - 30 without a degree. It is good for six months but can be extended by the Immigration Bureau for another six months.

You will have to go to the nearest Japanese consulate or the embassy in Ottawa and apply for the visa in person.

You will also need an application, photographs, a resume on A4 paper, an description of what you plan to do in Japan, a statement telling why you want the visa, proof that you have enough money to survive in Japan...

Just because I've pointed out a flaw in Carl's answer, that does not mean I disagree with him or that it's easy to move to Japan.

Boohoo: I enter this thing through Yahoo Canada. Not all people on here are American. Being American, you just assume so.

The person asking this question said he is Canadian. The last time I saw this same answer given, the person stated being Australian. So, how smart are you? Try arguing with someone else.

I think I'd make other plans. You need a four year degree to get a work visa. And a job offer before you get there. Unless you have a special skill a Japanese doesn't have, the chances of finding work are near zero. Most jobs require native level Japanese. And they will go to a native Japanese first. Japan is in a major recession and many Japanese are having problems finding work.
The best link you can go to is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It will tell you what kind of visas are available and how to qualify for them.
Sorry if I sound harsh, but Japan is not an easy country to move to.

Mr Canoe, this is a American web site, and 99.9% of the people are American. So lay off people like Carl. A working holiday is just that, a holiday. It means you go home afterwords, doesn't it ? This person was talking about moving there, so Carl's answer was correct. Not as smart as you think you are,are you?

You can't move to Japan without visa. And you can get Japanese visa only for limited type of jobs.

As another says, your only option will be working holiday visa as you don't a degree. But you can stay in Japan only for limited period with working holiday visa. I'm not sure if it leads to what you call "move to Japan".
