What is the bare minimum information you're required to give for the U.S. Census?

It seems that the government is asking waaaaaaay too much personal information for the 2010 Census. Can I, an American citizen, be threatened with fines and/or imprisonment if I only answer how many people live in my home and ignore the rest of the intrusive census questions? There seems to be a grass-roots movement to do just that. I for one do NOT wish to aid and abet the march to socialism through the statistical manipulation of my personal information.

Name and number of people in the household,and that is it.Ten questions that become law does not make all ten Constiutional. or a legitimate law.

You have to do only two things:

1) indicate how much you love OZbama
a) a whole bunch. b) a whole lot. c) more than kool aide.

2) freely donate the following to ACORN (choose ONLY 1)
a) your first born. b) $500,000. c) all your social security benefit.

WAAAAY too much????

They are asking 10 questions, fewer than EVER before in the history of the Census. You are required by law to answer all 10, but you and Michelle Bachmann are free to break the law if you so choose.

Excellent question. One in which I am embarassed to admit I don't know the answer to. I, like you, fully intend to follow the exact letter of the Constitutional law and not one whit further, and will research this.
