Why do billions of tax dollars annually go to "AIDS prevention?"?

Even if you translated it into every world language, how much can it possibly cost to inform 6.5 billion people "don't ---- total strangers up the --- without a condom, or you could die." And if someone still does it after hearing that, then, are we obligated to tell him over and over again?

A perfect example of government waste.

Let other countries pass out condoms on their own. They arent that expensive.

Look at the numbers in Africa and the world.

This program by GW was a huge success and left off the list of achievements.

He saved millions of lives with the AIDS initiative and we as Americans can take credit.

because there are lots of countries out there with poor infrastructure. poor infrastructure means many people don't get the message in the first place.

Because gays hold a lot of power with the Dems

If it were that simple, there never would have been a "crisis" in the first place.

Suppose a woman is HIV positive. Suppose she gives birth, and her baby is not positive (which can often happen). Suppose she lives in a part of the world where there is no access to formula, and everyone typically relies on breastfeeding. We know that if she breastfeeds, her baby will likely become HIV positive.

What do you think it costs to get formula to that woman, so she can feed her baby without risking its life?

Now multiply that woman's problem by several million.
