A dangerous germ that has been spreading around the country causes more life-threatening infections than public health authorities had thought and is killing more people in the United States each year than the AIDS virus, federal health officials reported yesterday.

With every new disease Christians claim it to be the new "superbug." Measles was once thought of to be this same thing.

No, it is just evidence that this form of staphylococcus has evolved to become resistant to most antibiotics. A direct result of irresponsible prescribing practices.

Honey, part of the big reason MRSA and other drug resistant bacteria develops is because people fail to take their antibiotics properly. The staph is exposed to methicillin, and since the dose isn't enough to kill it, it is able to mutate so that it is immune to treatment with that particular drug.

We've brought the existence of these "superbugs" on ourselves. God and Revelation has nothing to do with it.

With some many poor in the world today, and more falling into poverty daily, even the simplest microbes kill us when we're debilitated by starvation and unsanitary conditions. More than 500,000 children have died in Iraq. Why worry about a superbug microbe when superbug MAN is wreaking so much havoc?

MRSA - Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus Aureus - is a variant of a bacterium that has been around as long as humanity; but it's recently developed a resistance to antibiotics. The reason it has developed this resistance is the indiscriminate use of those antibiotics in the past. There's nothing supernatural or 'cosmic' about it.
