Are the ideals and goals of one.org in conflict with the root of Africas problems?

It seems that many studies show evidence that many countries in Africa have surpassed their carrying capacity. I'm not advocating that nothing be done, but it seems that AIDS prevention and treatment is the primary focus of the organization. AIDS is a symptom of a more serious problem, that of overpopulation. I would like to support one.org but I'd rather see it and/or the rest of the world re-focus it's efforts toward issues like education, curbing corruption, and helping the countries out of debt. They would likely have to rework alot of the political geography that doesn't seem to respect traditional tribal boundries. These are issues that have been holding down the continent for alot longer than AIDS has been around.

I think the root problems of Africa is resolved by Africans but Africans need technical and skilled professionals to assist the problems and how to resolve it by showing the direction since ones upon the time almost all were colonized by the Europeans that know the cause aswellas the path of resolving it.

Touche! I completely agree that there are many problems that are more deeply rooted than the AIDS epidemic. In no way am I saying that the AIDS epidemic is not important but, the issue of clean drinking water has been a problem in Africa as well. Also, corruption is a problem and needs to be rectified. Last, the problems in Africa need to be seen as a global issue not just as an issue affecting millions of black people.
