Should children below age of 18 be allowed to learn everything about sexual intercourse for AIDS PREVENTION .?

The governments the world over are laying emphasis on the AIDS control measures specially in the developing countries of Asia. My question is should children below 18 years be allowed to learn everything about sexual intercourse in order to make them aware about the dangers of this deadly disease.

Way of putting question is wrong. Education of any kind should be taken educationally and not to explicit the adverse effects of one's mind

My mother had taught us (my sister and I) about male/female relations by the time I was 9-10 years old because we had been curious. She had taught us about being wary of strangers long before that. I would put AIDS and all STD's in the category of training to avoid disease and strangers, and teach it as soon as you and your child are able to communicate those concepts and remember them.

Yes and no. I think that they should get the basic information because a lot of people have sex before the age of 18, but I don't think that it should be that detailed. They could at least make it very "clinical".

It's a controversial topic. I'd say YES they should be educated because many of them will be sexually active long beforeage 18. THAT'S THE REALITY. On the other hand some people think it will put ideas into the heads of the inexperienced ones. Some kids have the discipline and exercise the control and avoid getting into sexual situations while others don't...So the safer thing to do is to educate them ALL...not just about avoiding AIDS infection but educate them about sex in general...and the feelings and baggage that goes along with sex. The pros, cons and emotional risks and so on.

They are going to have sex. No matter who they are, who their parents are, or what country they are in. Sex is going to happen, and they need to protect themselves.

Children should be allowed to remain innocent for as long as possible. I know this is hard to do in today's world, but it is worth the effort.

Yes, the earlier they know, the better. It's wishful thinking to think that teenagers will wait till thety are 18 to engage in sexual play. And with the skyrocketing rate of AIDS in our country, we are paying for the lack of education now.

definitely...this will make the coming generations aware of the ill effects of STD HIV.In country like INDIA, the person who are infected with HIV virus are even not aware of this deadly virus. Though it will take some time to expand to pan India but it is achievable...

I personally believe that lack of education and an abstinence towards not willing to share the info with the children's will have an adverse effect in increasing the havoc.

At least the adolescent should be told about this disease and the preventive measures for it. Without spreading awareness we cannot expect the young ones to know by themselves,

Also there are chances that they get a wrong info and that may be quite adverse to their lives.

i think children must be given every important knowledge on this topic so that they do not fall victim to diseases such as aids.

ofcourse yes it wil hep them to grow better and more responsible adults.Not only it helps in prevention of deadly communication diseases but also check increasing cases of teen age pregnancies
