Online degree programs?

I'm interested in going back to school, but can't actually do so because of my job and other responsibilities. I've been researching some online colleges/universities and found Ashworth College and Penn Foster. Both have the degree program I'd like to take and have payment plans so I don't have to worry about getting a loan or financial aid. Does anyone have any experience with either of these? Or know of any other online college or university that might meet my needs? I'm wanting to take the Criminal Justice course.

A couple have recommended Colleges in their area, but remember - out of state tuition is double to triple of what in state tuition is. (I'm in Indiana.)

They are accredited and very reasonable in cost. I am taking Master's degree there online. Not very wimpy either.

You can take many on-line core courses through Columbus State Community College. No payment plan (credit cards accepted) but they aren't an expensive school and have a good reputation. Many Ohio State University students do their first two years at CSCC because it is more affordable.

Folks responding to your query are naming REAL brick-and-mortar schools as good options for distance education. The "online schools" you have named in your question do NOT have regional accreditation or academic respectability, and that is why no one is affirming those choices.

You do not necessarily have to live in-state to get reasonable tuition when it comes to distance learning. But in your case, you are situated near perhaps the BEST distance education program in the midwest, which is through Indiana University. It would be a huge mistake for you to overlook their (fully accredited, eminently respectable) program.
