What is the best way to pay for college tuition?

Im a junior in high school and ive been researching schools im interested in. But how do i go about paying for a 4 year university tuition? My family is defintely not made of money, so it is going to be an issue. Any suggestions, references, etc. concerning financial aid and such will be greatly appreciated.

ive definitely considered scholarships, but i dont know where to begin looking for them! Suggestions?

Also, what are the positives and negatives of grants, loans, etc.? Please tell me what you know to the best of your ability! Thank you!

Find out what your state has to offer. For example, Florida has Bright Future scholarships that pay 100%, 75%, 50% based on your GPA and that you graduated from a Florida high school. Research your state.
Stafford Loans are helpful and could be your best bet. Especially a subsidized loan which allows you to postpone any repayments (principle and interest) til after you receive your degree or a grace period thereafter.
WHICH, if you can, to remain out of debt AFTER COLLEGE or minimize it, if you can find another school loan with a LOW interest rate, INVEST it into something with a HIGHER RETURN RATE (CD, real estate, bond, higher-interest rate savings acct, etc) then when it comes time to pay your debts, your INVESTMENTS will have paid themselves and made you PROFIT. Basically, take advantage of the low interest rates opportune to you only as a student.
Lastly, if you get FAFSA, it only covers your undergraduate studies. SO, if you're going for a double major, get all your courses while you're eligible, before you apply for your diploma...VERSUS, when you receive your Bachelor's in one area but decide you want to go back for another undergrad...that second major is YOUR financial responsibility, not FAFSA.

Good luck to you. It's great that you're planning and thinking ahead!

You can't do this as a freshman, but when you can you should be a Resident Assistant.... room and board paid for, monthly stipend--sounds pretty good to me!
Wish I would of been smart enough to think of that when I was younger! I am a junior in college now and moving back on campus to become an RA.

SCHOLARSHIPS!! The more you get in scholarships, the better your tuition is paid for. Work hard in your acadmics and earn those scholarships!! Grants are also the best way to get your tuition paid, but I would hold off on school loans, if you really-really need to (as a last resort!!!) Good luck & Do you best in school!

There is always scholarships

-that either pay full tuition or some. by either having some community work, good grades, or having a special talent, u can get alot of money. But you have to apply for them.
There is alot existing, but every single one is very specific.
What you want to do is search the internet more. Hit me up if u need other help I am a college peer counselor

Depending on what you want to study, larger hospitals will pay your school if you commit to work for them upon graduation ex nursing, other companies will pay a tuition reimbursement when you are already employed by them, if you work at a university or college your tuition is free or reduced, the military is another option, or a combination of different sources...

There are four ways to pay for tuition with financial aid. There are: Loans grants scholarships and workstudy.

Apply for scholarships. In order to apply for a scholarship, you must talk to your school's guidance counselor for advice on which ones to apply for. Then, you can apply for financial aid at www.fafsa.ed.gov and student loans.
