A question about healthy sperm!?

My Fiancee' and I are trying to conceive a child. So i have researched many articles about sperm health and healthy production. I am taking GNC's Mega Man sport Multi Vitamin in order to help aid in the health of my sperm. It Contains everything i have read that is needed for healthy sperm production. It has Zinc Magneese selenium a complex of b vitamins L-carnitine and vast amounts of other amino acids Vitamin E and many other vitamins i have read are good for spem production. Is there anyway someone who knows alot about this subject could go to GNC's web page look at the complete list of ingredients and tell me if there are anymore vitamins/nutrients i could take to help boost my sperm production and to help my sperm become healthy and stay healthy?

Also How long will it take (with me taking these) untill my sperm will cycle and become healthier?

Well, you are the first man I have ever 'met' who has taken this much of an interest in trying to do his own research and help his partner get pregnant! You deserve an award! And it's sweet, it really is, but I seriously think your Mega Man vitamins are all marketing. And they are probably costing you a fortune. It isn't rocket science; it's all about your overall good health. That, and genetics! Don't overdo the supplements. Especially herbals; when we were trying to conceive, the fertility specialist told us both to stay off herbal supplements like echinacea because it can affect sperm counts and fertility. If you are a smoker, then you need to quit. The biggest thing that can affect sperm health that you can control is over-heating your jewels and also scrunching them! Trade briefs for boxers, trade polyester for cotton, and trade biking for... anything else! Good luck!

Okay, honestly, I think taking the vitamins is great for your overall health, which is the most important factor, but there's a couple more items which may impact your sperm count far more than additional vitamins. 1.) If you exercise, and I hope that you do, you may want to replace any cycling activity with treadmill, running, walking, or step activites because the constraint on "that area" plus too much heat may reduce your count. 2.) If you wear jockeys or tight underwear, you may want to switch to boxers. Sperm like to be a little cooler than the rest of your body (hence the testicles are away from you body!), that keep the sperm healthier and the count higher. 3.) Have a sperm test done. This is the best way to know what you're dealing with. It's an easy test (okay, the sample production isn't everyone's favorite part), and they'll check for more than just count. They'll look for count, morphology (shape), and motility (are they active & swimming in the right direction). All of these factors are important, and your genetics may play as large a role as any. Having it checked would put your mind at ease to be able to concentrate on the more fun parts of trying to conceive. Good Luck!

go to www.conceptionkit.com look under medical and library scroll down to fertility enhancements and it has a listing of herbs and vitamins you need to have healthy sperm and also for the woman too. vitamin c works very great too. good luck. you can buy these over the counter as well.
