Extra courses I can do to make my application for Flight Attendant job stand out?

I have my RSA and Senior First Aid certificates. The minimum requirements to be considered for a flight attendant position are to have both of those certificates and a valid passport.
My problem is, airlines get hundreds, probably thousands of applications a day. I need something on my application that makes me stand out from all the other girls out there.

What kind of short courses can I do to improve my skills for this job? I was thinking maybe Food Handling or a Barista course...I looked up Customer Service courses in the TAFE NSW website, but they aren't offering that course at the moment.
I've researched for Flight Attendant courses and they all seem pretty dodgy. I've heard they're not very useful & are a waste of money so I'm not interested in those.
What else can I do at TAFE to make me stand out & improve my skills? I live in the Western Suburbs of NSW.

Definitely take some language courses. Also some sort of customer service or hospitality course could be helpful.

Airlines are looking for customer service oriented types, If you can find a pt job dealing with the public your chances will increase (short term solution). Northwest airlines is currently hiring look on the web site and participate in an open house, you have nothing to loose go for it.

Your best bet would be to check out airline web sites as well as contacting flight attendants to get their advice for useful courses. I do not see the value of a food handling or Barista course with so little food service on commercial flights these days. Being bi-lingual would be a plus as well as classes on diversity and cultures.
