Senior Project Help!?

At my school you have to do a senior project and it can be on any subject. I am more than likely going to do my project on a history/government topic, and am having trouble narrowing the field, so to speak. I am open to any ideas, but what keeps drifting to my mind is:
*Causes of WWII
*The Night of Broken Glass
*How Salutary Neglect led to American Revolution, and how "Insurrection of thought precedes insurrection of deed."
*How most revolutions are Minority Movements
*I would have trouble getting documents to back it up, but "How the colonists could have won the American Revolution without French aid." (This is a bit of an inside joke between me and my APUSH teacher, I basically wrote an essay proving this just to irritate him.)
*Reasons for war of 1812
*Something on "Old Ironsides," U.S.S Constitution
*How the Anti-Masonic Party led to Main Party Primaries
*How the election of "Tippecanoe and Tyler Too鈥?led to modern election practices. (I like this one a lot but, think it would be hard to find a "trail" of documents leading to this conclusion."
*Something on Thomas Moore's Utopia....
*Something on the Roseburgs...

If you don't complete the project you don't graduate, and the requirements are as follows:
1. Research Paper 5+ pages (easy)
2. Product (15 hours min., can be things like job shadowing, social studies fair ect.)
3. Oral Presentation to Judges (Seminar Teacher, Teacher of your choice, Comm. member.)

I just need help deciding what I want or any new ideas. (I already have a strong background in history, have taken all the history classes available and taken AP US)

These are the topics I found most interesting and would like to know more about so, I can't narrow it down that way. I need to eliminate what I can't write a workable thesis for. Yes, I did mean Rosenburgs, that was a typo. As for this not being a real senior topic, and boring I live in a highly isolated area making, the suggestions of cake decor. and house building highly unworkable and I have never said "why do I need to learn this" in history class, perhaps I enjoy seeing others life stories. I like the world history ideas thrown out, but I don't have enough background to pull ideas out...

Wow, none of those things seem truly interesting. Are they to you? It's your senior project, so make it something you've never studied before! Its not a rigorous assignment as long as you don't try to do it in a week-I'd step out of the box.
Try something new- gladiators, marie antoinette and the bastille, Ancient Egypt........the ones at the top just don't grab me.
(I'm a junior history major, so you don't think i'm a ****** :) )

You've sat in classes for years and have been bored stiff. Many times you said "Why do I have to learn this stuff? Why can't I learn something worthwhile?

That's senior project.

Out project requires a persuasive paper and that it be linked to the 15 hour project. We have a group going to Mexico to build a house, others learning what it's like to work as an electrical business and even a couple taking cake decorating.

My suggestion is to not limit yourself and go out to try something you want to learn about.

cant help much--you mention the roseburgs-do you mean the rosenburgs? they were convicted in about 1955 of being russian spys and selling atomic secrets to russia and both were executed.--ww2 hitler declared war on u.s.a 2 days a fter the japs attacked pearl harbor. at that time we were sending massive amounts of aid to england japs attacked us because we had cut off needed supplies like steel and oil which fueled their war in asia.- never knew what started the war of 1812. ido know the british burned washington d.c. --you might include the spanish//american war and what we got out of it[ amomg other things new mexico-arizona and california.

If I were required to do this I'd choose The Night of Broken Glass. However, that's my opinion, you need to choose a subject you enjoy researching and can really get your teeth into.
Good luck with what ever you choose to do.

Kristallnacht
A massive, coordinated attack on Jews throughout the German Reich on the night of November 9, 1938, into the next day, has come to be known as Kristallnacht or The Night of Broken Glass.

1939 - The Night of Broken Glass (Kristallnacht)
The Night of Broken Glass (1939): In retaliation for the assassination of German diplomat Ernst vom Rath in Paris, SS Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels announced a government-sactioned pogrom against Jews.

The brutality of the night has caused many to consider this the beginning of the Holocaust.

I think it's a diverse & fascinating list. Which subject excites you? Which do you have questions about? Do you find some subjects controversial? What do you want to learn more about?
