I need FAFSA information?

Now that my uncle is deceased, my aunt is thinking of working and going back to school. I need all the FAFSA financial aid info I can get, but I don't have a lot of time to research it b/c I'm working and going to school myself. She has two children, plus she's picking up the slack of bills and things she's never done, so (just temporarily) we don't have the time. Any links to info, or any info at all, would be much appreciated. Thanks!

FAFSA or "Free Application for Federal Student Aid" should be completed as soon as possible (January is the best date to file). This is the financial aid form your aunt will want to apply for in order to be considered for federal and state student grants, work-study, and loans. It's a lengthy document to complete but you can do so on-line at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov where you'll find all the instructions. Note deadline dates - the sooner you file, the better your chances for support. Important - Be sure to first sign-up for a PIN at the Dept of Ed website. It allows your aunt to sign the FAFSA form electronically. Go to: http://www.pin.ed.gov and select 'Apply for a PIN'

www.fafsa.ed.gov

fo onto the FAFSA website. It should be done ASAP as schools "run out" of money quickly. Those who file the FAFSA earliest get looked at 1st. She will probably qualify to get a lot from Pell Grants because she's a Non Traditional student, independent with dependents, etc. Good luck to her. The application is pretty easy to fill out and there is always assistance if needed for a particular ?

contact your local junior college and they will give you the information you need to get started on applying for the 2007-2008 school year! do he process on-line instead of sendngin application by mail! by mail it takes 6 weeks, and on-line is mcuh faster! good luck!
