Loan and grant?

Hi! Okay, my school tuition is about 4K a year. I received a Pell Grant for about that amount and a loan for 5k. Now, I accepted both because I thought the Pell Grant would be the primary source of payment for my tuition so then I could use my loan for any additional school and living expenses. I am a full-time student and a part-time employee but that hardly covers everything I need to get by, sanely. What I was wondering was that since my LOAN is what paid for my tution, will my grant get cancelled? I'm afraid I may have gotten into debt because I thought I would have received the money from my loan via check. I had no idea they were going to use it as the main tuition payment. I did some research and it seems that they like cancel the grant once it seems like an overpayment. I am thinking about cancelling the loan while I still can and attempting to work with my financial aid office to keep my grant obviously without any the aid of some money. Anyone have experience with this befor

It doesn't matter which, (the loan or the grant) paid for your tuition. In either case, you will get a refund check from the schools bursars office in the amount of any money that wasn't needed to cover your costs.

me personally i dnt think that your grant will get cancelled because they are to different things a grant is something you dont pay back and a loan is just what it is and you can get as many grants as you qualify for from experiences that i have had in the past. the pell grant will actually give you money back.
