Has anybody heard of the Supreme Court case "Everson vs. Board of Education"??

for those who say the constitution does not say anything about separation of church of state, research this 1947 case heard by the supreme court. to make it easier for you, here is the link:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Everson_v._...

this was a case upheld unanimously by the supreme court (even the conservative justices.) some of my favorite quotes are below:

"The 'establishment of religion' clause of the First Amendment means at least this: Neither a state nor the Federal Government can set up a church. Neither can pass laws which aid one religion, aid all religions or prefer one religion over another."

"In the words of Jefferson, the clause against establishment of religion by law was intended to erect 'a wall of separation between Church and State."

so, anybody still want to argue that there is nothing about the separation of church and state in the constitution?

Actually no one has said that. What is argued is the fact that there is freedom OF religion and not freedom FROM religion as many on the left claim. The point is that the Ten Commandments and school prayer has been banned (by liberal judges) All religions have prayer and many have a form of their version of the commandments. But prayer and the commandments were attacked by the left because of the "religious right" scare tactic used by the left. I am a republican and I don't want any forced religion, but I respect all that partake in their own beliefs. That is the bottom line and not just the sad reality of blaming Christianity.
