More Friends in high places?

She is also an ambassador for Action Medical Research, a charity that funds medical research , and ambassador for Wirral Women and children鈥檚 Aid, as well as being a Governor of West Kirby Primary School...(yet supports the McCanns??) and used to present GMTV before going into politics .The same GMTV which Fiona Phillips used
as a platform to say its ok to leave kids alone? She also worked on CBBC..so expect some TV appeals from the McCanns slotted in-between kids programs soon too!

Wouldnt anyone with any respect for their careers and image, be distancing themselves from the McCanns? Or is help from these people one of the "calling in of favours" as said by Uncle Brian, do you think?

Who are we us lowly people to question the Mccanns. I mean 99.9% of the population disagree it was ok to go out and leave three babies. But all these luvvies seem to think its ok so it must be us who are wrong. If a teenage girl went out got pregnant used the state to fund her social life and went out and left her baby all hell would be let loose but when two doctors do it and then use the Maddelline fund to keep up their lifestyle its classed as ok. Smacks of double standards to me. I am not a perfect mother but I am a single parent and a few years back my little boy nearly died through illness and I had to be sedated there was no way I could cope. I don't know how these two keep their emotions so in check. One thing that was said last week Mrs McCann said they were sure Madelline had not got out by herself. How did they know this for sure if they weren't there. I pray this little girl is found soon. A poor lovely little girl who deserved so much more.

i do wonder if this huge media wheel would be turning and people would be donating money etc if the mcCanns were poor and uneducated. They probably would have been arrested by now for neglecting there children and totally vilified by the media.

ive just been reading your quotes (and Dave s) about the mcCanns and I honestly didnt realise there was so much controversy about the whole thing, but i am being educated so thankyou. what i do believe is that yes it was sooo wrong to leave children on their own ( i have a son of my own and have never left him alone on holiday) public opinion would have been so different had it been working class or unemployed people involved they probably have had social sevices on their back from word go.

they may have friends in high places but they can not fool the general public so easily , they would be wise to remember this

Whatever happened that night and the truth comes out which it surely must because there are too many people contradicting themselves and it seems to me that the pacts of silence are stretching themselves to breaking point I wonder if all the 'influential' friends and acquaintances will have the grace to apologise or just slink off red faced?
