Who has priority in organ transplants?

Do smokers or alcoholics have equal rights to receiving organs?What about people with aids? Youger vs. older? prisoners? I need some info for a four page essay on this and would love some in put and maybe some sources i can research?

Yes, they do have equal rights. AIDS patients I'm not so sure about.

All have the same priority. The people that are the sickest get the first chance, and on down the line. Some people may not be eligible for a transplant. I'm not sure about people with HIV, but my grandma needed a liver, and they turned her away because she was over 70.
