Juice Plus: Is this person just trying to rope me in?

Tonight I ran into an former acquaintance who's a distributor of Juice Plus. She says that it's helped her teenage son, who has type I diabetes. She claims that it may help my daughter, who gets migraines and has several food allergies.

I'm very leery of MLM businesses after getting scammed by Amway a few years ago, and I don't like the idea of getting roped into joining some program where I have to pay a huge monthly amount (I have a large family - no doubt she was seeing the dollar signs when she was talking to me). She and her husband had that familiar vulture look in their eyes when talking to me, my Amway-sense kicked in.

She's going to send me some brochures. Is this something I should run far away from? I did a little research and so far I'm not liking what I see about this stuff, but I'd like to read some personal experiences too.

Oh, and anyone who thinks they can spam me with info about other supplements, diet aids, etc., you'll have no luck here. Not interested. Thanks!

To q answers: What kind of mom am I?? Do you not think I take my kids to a doctor? She has actually been seen by her doctor several times for her migraines and allergies. Why do you think I'm asking about this? What part of my question makes you think I can't say no? I am doing the research online as someone suggested, and merely asking for personal experiences here. I've pretty much made up my mind anyway, I will not be buying this stuff. But the fact that you are jumping to conclusions about the kind of person I am, and can't realize from my question that I'm trying to make the best decision for my family, only proves that you're a boor. The shame is on you.

Until now I'd never heard of juice plus, but I would say trust your instincts (Amway-sense).
I don't see how taking healthy foods such as fruit and vegetables and processing them into a supplement can replace the real unadulterated product, a form that is natural to our bodies.
In terms of allergies Sue Dengate claims that even some fruit can cause allergic reactions in children. This is due to amines in them.
I suppose it's possible that this juice plus is a concentrated source of animes, (pure speculation)
If you are unaware of her work her website is here.

I'm Brandi. - been taking JP for 6 years and have had healthier blood work, less arm pain from ulner nerve damage, no need for allergy/sinus meds.(for starters) -have seen greater things in my family. Brother took JP for 3 years & no more autism. call my cell 817-793-1224 if you want to talk more Report It

Look at the brochures, do your own research, and make an educated decision.

Simple as that.

i think u shouls tell her were to go and stike it were the sun don't shine.

I'd say go with your first instinct, run away. From what I have seen, all these things are scams.

Why people don't just go see a doctor? .Juice Plus... what kind of mom are you? Would you waste your family's money on something called "Juice Plus"? Would you give that to your migraine suffering daughter, some phony drink? Just because you can't say no? Aren't you strong enough to protect your family's health and wealth from people who are no more than "acquaintances" ? Shame.

It is better to take opinion of a doc.

Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.

Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.

U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.
