What's the point of PETA?

I used to be a member of PETA...but now I see no point in PETA...because there are more important issues like "global warming" or AIDS, etc. So what's the point of PETA spending all their money on websites and campigns brainwashing people like me, that wearing wool is bad? I did a little research...and my opinion is they are mainly proganda and maybe extremeists (they had a campaign on stopping fishing as a sport!)

well, if you used to be a member, then you obviously know what the point is. People always think their cause is more important than anything else. At one point in your life, you thought treating animals ethically was the way to go and now you've changed your mind and think global warming is more important. That doesn't mean PETA or any other group necessarily brain washed people. It just means your views have changed.

Animals are our friends!! Their rights should be protected! But I agree, PETA is an extremist group

The point of PETA is to stalk, harass, and terrify small children into thinking as they do. Then while these children are crying at the pictures they are shown and what they are told, PETA kills animals that they take in instead of finding homes for them.
