Help me get started please...?

Im writing a 7 page research on the legalization of marijuana...
At first I have to start with an attention grabber....I wrote that my I was sitting in a lobby of a hospital because my uncle had just been rushed into emergency....I could use that he had aids, and he could not eat...but that wouldnt be reason for him to be taken into emergency...I have to end up with saying that marijuana would make him eat or something....any good ideas?? or perhaps something more interesting...??

I researched the uses of marijuana and you can safely say that marijuana was used to save your uncle. Here's a fictional scenario I made up based on your account:
I was sitting in the lobby of the hospital because my uncle had AIDS and he cannot eat. His loss of appetite became so serious that he was seriously malnourished and he had to be taken to the emergency ward. The hospital ran out of marijuana and my uncle was in dire need of it. I could have bought marijuana over the counter in a pharmaceutical shop and saved my uncle. But since marijuana is not legalized, I could not buy it over the counter and the hospital was really slow in getting the drug. So, I lost my uncle. Therfore, legalization of marijuana is necessary.

Why not use the good old 'special brownies' recipe? You really can't taste it and it does give you 'munchies'.Maybe in the story you could pass them out to other patients [don't do this in real life,it can mess up prescribed drugs]in the waiting room...
