Have you listened to Rev. Wright's entire sermons?

I was outraged after seeing the clips on the news. So I decided to do my own research. After hearing the entire sermons on YouTube, I concluded that majority of what he said was TRUE! Although, its a part of American history that we would like to forget about....like slavery.....it was mostly true...HISTORY! Of course, there were a few things that made me say hmmm, like the AIDS thing. However, it has been a theory in the black community for years. Perhaps, because some blacks were given syphilis on purpose.

Native Americans were here first remember, therefore, they founded it.

He's instigating separation within our society. Yes this country is run by mostly white people, but is this such a big suprise. United States was founded by whites and still holds 82% of the US population. Where's the conspiracy there?

I'm not voting for Wright, I'm voting for Obama. He denounced the comments that were important to denounce. Hillary has a dossier of possible illicit connections. McCain is another war dog. I'm not going to hold it against Obama, because he maintained a friendship with someone who said stupid things. That's not criminal.

Some of the things he said are defensible. But what concerns me is that Obama didn't try to defend them. Instead, he hid behind his 85-year-old grandmother.

Obama had me going there for a while. I really thought he might be the one to lead us to a post-racial future, to something more interesting than the re-hashing of these tired generations-old resentments. Guess I was wrong...

While Rev. Wrights views did hold some meirt. He did get carried away on some points.Unfortunately his good points will be lost in the comments that were made in error.

Yes, I too, heard how outraged everyone was about his "calling on God to damn America" sermon until I heard it for myself. That wasn't at all what he was saying. He was saying that because we have pushed God out of America and condone so much sin, that God is going to damn America. He wasn't "calling on God" to damn America. I agree with him on that. Jerry Farewell and Pat Robertson have also said the same and no one ranted and raved calling them unpatriotic. I also agree with him that rich white men have run this nation since it was founded but I think he does take that thinking too far and I did sense racism against whites in him.

Nobody has dared to explain the real source of Rev. Wright's hatred. The arguments of slavery, spread of AIDS or syphilis by the government, some of them true, some of them false, are simply ideas to entrap our imagination and distract the black community.
The real source of his hatred, as well as other black leaders, is simply overwhelming frustration with their own people.
6 millions jews were exterminated by the Nazis 65 years ago, a much shorter time than slavery almost 165 years ago.
There no Jews screaming out there against the Germans.
The black community has to solve their own problems. The black on black murder, illegitimate children,broken homes, violence.Nobody from outside can do that for them, other than giving them opportunities.
No society in the world offers more opportunities than this one. Billions of government dollars have been invested in the black community for years, housing projects, food stamps, affirmative action, etc.
Things have not worked out because the change has to come from inside, not outside.
They can't face the truth so they have to face the past.
That's where the hatred comes from. It is much easier and profitable to blame whites than asking the black community to face the truth about themselves.
