What more should be done to support MS awareness?

There is so much in the media about Cancer and Aids, what more should be done to spread the word and get more research to help the quality of life for MS sufferers?

We just need to get more people out there to let others know that MS is an affliction and that it's just as serious as cancer or HIV/AIDs. Celebrities and Politicians are good ways to get the message out. People listen to the famous, this is why many organizations (like PETA, etc) get so much recognition is because they have many celebrities waving the banner for their organization.

So many people are misinformed and/or undereducated about the condition. It's not "high profile" (for lack of a better term) enough (i.e. not a "pandemic") for it to get huge media coverage. More educating needs to be done before anything can be accomplished.

Cancer and heart disease have been made fashionable through some fund raising activities and the publicity that goes with them.
Lung disease like MS is a disease without spin doctors. If the people at the foundations would put on a cause, the information would get out.
