USA is easily the most politically correct country in the world, why do they still drive such heavy vehicles?

-while they are able to change other socially chagrined realisations? ie -(power comes from nuke- not coal, ****** is now black and extreme research in advancement of dissability aid, etc?

Because the US is politically correct. Politics don't make sense.

Americans are very selfish. A large car makes the people inside safer at the expense of the people outside.

Because their government is bought and paid for by the very polluters and thieves they promised to protect the public they serve against.

Because we like to pi*s you off. Don't worry about what we drive.

Because we can. Others could too if they would just make their governments remove the excessive taxes from transportation fuel.

Because many of us have big families and use cars more often, so we use bigger cars.

Americans are PC about stuff such as race, obesity and homosexuality because it directly the wellbeing of Americans in a short time frame.

I think its because pollution in one particular country effects the whole world (in terms of Global Warming) and because it is a long term issue.

Just wait a year and a bit: The next US president will be Hilary Clinton and she promised to sign the Kyoto protocol, as too will Australia if Labour wins the upcoming election in November.

yea I think USA is very politically correct as too is NZ (eg. The law making shows like Shortland Street have a Maori quota). But i think being politically correct is a good thing. It breaks down so many barriers.

Contrast this to Australia where in Melbourne they have a alcohol ban for Aboriginal people only: I'm surprised at how racist Australia is especially after those colour-bashing raids a few years ago in Bondi
