Am training for the race for life, any helpful training tips ?


The race for life is 5 kilometres and done in aid of cancer research. I am not unfit but not fit either. Do alot of walking and swimming.

Did it last year.
Joined a local running sisters club, they will get you there.
Look up marathon websites.
Get a proper pair of trainers,went to a speacalist shop who look at you running measure your feet & give you a decent pair of trainers not Nike or Reeboks
Check out the parking my race was local & I cycled but it took my daugter 1 1/2 hrs to leave Dorney rowing lake site.

sorry i don't have any tips but i would just like to say thank you for racing to raise money for cancer research .
