What R some creative ideas for a Harlem Renaissance project?

Our research papers,visual aids,& presentations are being partly graded on creativity & it would make me look better. I'm smart,not a nerd,but I still care.HELP PLEAZZZZZ!!!! =)

How about some audio/visual clips of Bessie Smith or Duke Ellington?

Maybe you could do a "choral reading" of a Langston Hughes (always a crowd-pleaser) or Countee Cullen poem.

Perhaps you might do a slide presentation of the photos of James Van Der Zee (set to Smith or Ellington's music).

um dress up like 20s/langston hughes, etc, and recite one of his poems. etc.

act out literature from the era

Use some excerpts from the book "Having Our Say." There was a movie made about it as well. You may be able to find parts of the movie on YouTube. The Delaney Sisters, who the book is about, lived the Harlem Renaissance. Even if you have not read it, you might be able to use part of it. Also, you have to play some of the music from that era.

If your school has United Streaming, ask your teacher to download a video or clipart for you.
