I'm confused, my science teacher or the dumb priest?

I'm confused, my science teacher or the dumb priest? , My science teacher said that we evolve from some sort of a Ape , and the adaptation , survival , facing natures severity learning skills and love to the children has bring us to this stage. My friend told me that we are made from clay balls, and a priest told me that we are from Adam and eve, the world is made in six days.. I feel like its better to study the easy way. So I can just simply write the bible content to my science exam. The god is poerfull and he made the world in 6days . end of story!!! But . .
I want to be a science person to help the cancer researches or AIDS. what should I follow?

We did not evolve from some kind of ape at all, but a common ancestor primate. There is plenty of transitional animal fossils found, and we know that fossils only form under certain conditions.

you don't just decide between competing stories other people tell you. you have to do the work to develop your own view of the origin of people (if you care, which it seems you do). You need to check into all the facts and feelings yourself and decide what you think. If you want to make a stand and give the "wrong" answers on your science test, you will be the one to face the consequenses (a bad grade). If you decide to give the "wrong" answers at church, you will again face the consequences.

the dumb priest , its the best and easy answer. you will pass the exam. If not the god will help you to find a job to save the cancer people.

Practice the art of doublethink...Believe the two beliefs despite them being contrary to each other.

You tailor your answer to what you know the questioner is asking. Although it's not innapropriate to state at the beginning something like "Although many people believe that God created the world in seven days, research shows that..." and then you just go into the scientific answer that your teacher is looking for. This way you won't betray any values system that you have.

I don't know about you, but if we evolved from apes, why are there still apes? We were created in the image of God, and I seriously doubt that He was an ape or a blob of mud. People are quick to believe in aliens and mans logic, but question the Word of God.

whatever you believe is right, that is a question you should answer yourself. Besides i think u already answered that by saying dumb priest lol. and we did not evolve from apes, they may have a resemblance, but they were a human species. do some research on evolution and see which you think makes more since. My mom is an Archaeologist (human not dinosaur) but she believes in both, she believes God started evolution, that he did not make the world in 6 days. Good luck with that.

There you go being the devils advocate. God created everything even Science some of the things I'm sure he won't agree to but most science have there own views on things.

Why ask the same question over and over....expand your experiences and knowledge.....this is a loaded question only intended to provoke responses for entertainment....grow up and learn that making fun and joking around is only appropriate when all sides involved are in agreement that it is for fun....other wise it is just the gang mentality of let's get together and put down the kid we do not like for what ever reason...sounds like Middle School all over again.....

I myself was raised in Catholic schools but I am very science related and studied biology in college- for me I found it best to integrate the creation story ( and it is a story ) and evolution into my beliefs. It is important to believe that God created man and earth and the Heavens and all those other great things- but the whole 6 days 1 day rest thing has bothered me. I understand evolution and it takes thousands of years. So here is what I came up with. God created everything- therefore he must have created the species that we evolved from. God knows everything so he must have known what we would evolve into- did God create us- yes but he let evolution help Him- I hope this helps

If you wish to do science research, it shouldn't matter your view on creation versus evolutiion. I do believe that animals evolved, but we as modern humans did not. The world was created in 6 days. Man was created on the sixth day. The secret here is that the earth had once been destroyed (perhaps by fire). The reason I believe this is in Genesis 1:28 where God tells Adam and Eve to RE- plenish the Earth (meaning to re-inhabit - meaning the Earth was once inhabited) What happened to the original inhabitants? Maybe they are the fossils of the so-called homo-erectus etc? Thats what I think and it makes sense too. Now, before any of you evolutionists give me a thumbs down, go check me out and study it yourselves.

Your science teacher thinks we come from apes, where does the teacher think the apes come from? God made the earth and all animals, planets etc. And God made us humans! We are all miracles of God. A seed is planted in the mothers womb and a baby grows from the seed. this is a miracle!

Both theories are a matter of faith. You can still be a science person to help the cancer researches or AIDS and believe in creation or God. Contrary to popular believe, Christians do not ignore science. God bless and Merry Christmas.
