What should I include in an informative speech about AIDS/HIV?

I'm looking for little side facts to discuss, and the speech itself is only supposed to take about three minutes. I'm doing research on my own as well, but I'm lazy at the moment and figured I'd ask here first, haha.

Yeah, I'm still doing things on my own, but it's tough to cram so much information into a three minute speech. I didn't hear about the Mexico thing, though. I heard people in the UK were holding some of the finance ministers on record for having a cure by 2010, but yeahhh. :P

It would be good to include facts like the U.S. policy is not the same as all nations. For instance, in Africa they have found a higher survival rate of infants born to AID's Mothers who breastfeed for the first seven months of life. While in the U.S. we say no mother with AID's should breastfeed.

Basically, I am saying look outside of the box! Don't do what everyone else does and state the mundane facts! Look to sites like the Elizabeth Glaser site (http://www.pedaids.org/) for new and unique information!

well, aids/hiv dies when oxygen is introduced to it. thats it is only possible to get during intercourse. it is the LEAST likely virus/disease to get from a public area. hepatitis b is number one. not sure about the the drugs but there is a seris of drugs that has been proven to kill the virus when first introduced to the body. also not sure about the time frame.
