How long will the HIV-AIDS continue to kill human beings?

Which level of scientific research reached by doctors in the struggle against this deadly disease?

I think it will be for a long time before a cure will be find. It is even hard to find a vaccine once HIV is a virus, and a virus mutates its "DNA" incredibly quick. The samples took by HIV nowadays are completely different from those ones taken two decades ago. And a vaccine should have to deal with all these cases. Look for the Flu Vaccine, although it is very effective, it needs to be taken at least once a year, and the vaccines are differents from the region it is taken (an American flu vaccine are not necessarily the same as a European one, as well as in South American, and so on).

When they find the cure - it will be eradicated - the problem is - the virus changes and mutates which makes a single vaccine difficult to manufacture - I still maintain that the cure will come from someone who has a natural immunity to the disease - it is a case of finding that someone!

As long as the virus still exist, it ugly long.

There is a huge amount of research being carried out all round the world and there have been several small steps toward a cure. The main problem with HIV/Aids is that the virus continues to mutate. This means that it becomes resistant to what every form of medication is used.
One possible hope for man kind is a more enlightened education system in AIDS effected areas. The church still does not approve of the use of condoms and as a result HIV?AIDS is at epidemic levels in Africa.
So the short answer is that without a major change in the attitude of man kind the last person alive in the world could be an AIDS victim.

It will continue to kill people until everyone practices safe sex and stops intraveous drug abuse. It is a disease of ignorance as much as anything else.

I don't see any cures coming soon. however i read this article when i was studying and it stated that some prostitutes in africa were having unprotected sex with men who had the virus and these prostitutes were not contracting it. however their children often had it. Unfortunately when the prostitutes retired they then developed the virus (how heartbreaking). It had something to do with no longer being exposed to the virus.
