Writing a rebuttle arguing the governments right to ban same sex marriages...?

In the original article Sowell states the government gives more money to AIDS research than any other disease. Does anyone know any stats that would prove his stats wrong?

Aids does get the most research money, and has for several years. The reason for this is the death rate involved and the transmission of the disease. While more people die from cancer, it is usually later in life and is not contagious. This research money has little effect on gay marriage though, so that is a pointless argument. If anything married gays would be less likely to pass the AIDS virus on to multiple partners, so use Sowells own argument against him.

While I don't know whether his claim is wrong or not, there's a fallacy if he's using that to support a ban on gay marriage.

AIDS is NOT a gay disease. Goodness, people. Most people infected with AIDS are not gay. Yes, it started out in the US by gays. Who happened to be promiscuous and drug-users. Not representative of the average homosexual nowadays.

You are fighting a loosing battle, the government has been trying for years to stop it and they haven't been able to do it. As far as aids goes by neighbor had a blood transfusing 5 years ago and contacted aids from it and how has a law suite against the blood bank for not screening the blood properly.

heart disease gets more money than any other disease in the United States because heart disease kills the largest amount of people per year. besides, the percentage of people who get aids through homosexual relationships is actual very small as compared to the whole population of people with aids.

I've heard many say that aids is smaller in the gay community that's because the gay community is smaller. 2 percent of U.S. I would also like to add that 5 percent of the population has mental problems maybe that number should be changed to 7 percent. Gay people should be happy with civil union and stfu. Your only a small part of the country be happy were even looking at the problem.
