So I've just come into alot of money...?

I'm a professional poker player, and as you may know, many of us donate a significant portion of our winnings to charity (most notably Barry Greenstein). I have recently won a particularly large sum of money in a major tournament and would like to donate all the proceeds to a reputable charity.

However, I have some reservations about how the money is spent. I don't want any of it going toward AIDS research. I'm a firm believer that if we just leave that alone it will take care of itself. I also don't want it going to Africa, because I hear that the tribe leaders will just horde the money and none of it gets spent on anything worthwhile.

So what are some good Christian charities that won't waste it on queers and criminals?

Give it to the Shriner's & St. Jude's Children's Hospitals

You'd better hope your beliefs are wrong. Because if they're right, no matter how much money you give away, you're going downstairs when your time comes.

are you serious??? I'm hoping that you're just trying to incite some people to go off on you just for the fun of it. So with that in mind. Why don't you take your winnings (aquired through what your religion considers a sin) and shove it up your sanctimonious a$$. Or you could donate it to the Catholic church (sort of Christian, right?) and they could use it to pay off more abused children. That actually sounds perfect for you.

If you are serious, I would recommend a Bishop in India who I have known many, many years, and who is responsible for many orphans, elderly and sick folks, lepers, etc. His mission is truly struggling for funds to build a dairy, and a fish farm so he can teach the orphan boys a viable trade. He also wants to teach the girls sewing (they have a couple of sewing machines, but need more help in this area too.
