Did you hear on the news last week, that AIDS/HIV is now gonna be considered as a black disease?

Well I was doing some research and studying, and my caculations show that more of black people have AIDS. The news said, that every African American family at least has somebody with AIDS in their family,Had somebody with AIDS in their family, or someone who dosen't know they have the disease. Also I saw this special on MTV and they said, most people with AIDS are black. DAMN! Anyway I just wanted to see if anyone could help me and stop these people from calling AIDS a ******* disease. Can you please help?!

I think maybe they get that impression because a lot of the poor blacks in Africa get Aids, that statement about having every black family that has at least someone who has AIDS is usually true. I've seen a lot of programs on television about it and it's sad to hear their stories. But that's not at all true in the United States and people should not be spreading lies like that.

i'd love to help, any ideas on how i can help. i know some people that are white that have AIDS/HIV and from what i've been reading it's not a racial disease by any means. i hate it when this kind of thing happens. that's like saying blacks are the only violent people on the planet. that's not true, that's just because some white people want you to think that to make their own race look better. i'm not a racial person and i hate it that there are still raceists in this country and around the world. that's one thing that definitely needs to change in this world.

Most people know that, that statement is not true, and don't believe everything that's on MTV. I you want to know the facts on that Look up the CDC, in Atlanta,GA, or other AIDS related sites.

Don't know where you heard that. Personally, I am with the
scientists who think AIDS is a virus that came to Earth when it passed through a comets tail. Sounds bizarre I know. But put
it all together.

fears, and others false hope, calling AIDS HIV.

well for years it was called a gay disease..but most people now know that it's much more than that...I don't think anyone can prevent people from calling it a N*gger disease if they want...but then again...do you really want to know anybody like that...The sad truth is is that if AIDS continues as it has..it'll be in everyone's back yard soon...even those who refer to it as a N*ggar's or ********* disease. Nobody deserves AIDS. I've seen dozens of people die of it and it's not pretty. No death is..but this is particularly agonizing.
Of all my friends who were HIV positive ---only one has not developed AIDS.
