I'm looking for suggestions on how to gain sponsors for the AIDS Walk/Run in Chicago, IL on Sept 15th.?

My coven and I are trying to raise money for AIDS research and education. We are trying to find ways to get sponsors. Has anyone done this or something similar? What did you do?

When I have done all of my fundraiser I have gone out to different organizations with a letter that is stating my purpose and have asked them to sponser my event. You will get more help if you are a registered non-profit orginization. Good luck!
