So why is more money given to AIDS research than any other disease? Could it be because most AIDS patients are homosexuals, and people don't want to have to stop being homosexual?

And your wrong about the research money as well, tho maybe there is some government guilt behind the fact that they didn't give a crap about it in the early 80s. Not all AIDS patients are homosexual. Mostly it is spread by heterosexual couples. Do u think we can turn off our homosexuality like a light switch? Doesn't work like that. And yes AIDS is not the biggest killer but it is up there in the ranks.

Cervical cancer and breast cancer are the biggest killers in the lesbian community. It would be nice if the ENTIRE community recognized this.

I think you need to do your research more thoroughly. Homosexuals are not the majority of AIDs cases or HIV carriers. African Americans are. Also, AIDs research is not funded more than any other researches, and AIDS is not a disease, it is a virus. Know what you are talking about and your statistics before making a fool out of yourself. However, you are right, AIDS is not the biggest killer. But it, along with Cancer and other medical problems do not have a cure, making us have to spend money for research in order to hopefully find a cure. One more thing, funding is not going to AIDS in itself, it is going to the HIV virus.

Most AIDS victims are actually heterosexual. And the HIV virus is unstable, that's how it mutated from only infecting monkeys to infecting people. The fear is that any time it could mutate to being air-borne like flu and cold viruses. That's why the concern in the medical community.

Anyway, don't be so sanctimonious and holier than thou. It doesn't become you at all.
