What degree would best provide for a job in HIV/AIDS research?

I believe it is a degree in molecular biology, but I could be wrong. Please let me know. Also, if you know what degree would be best for cancer / alzheimer's research, please let me know that, too.

possibly a degree in internal medicine, but you would also have to have an intimate understanding with how the body works, how the virus works, and how the virus affects the body.

many people that develop medicines/therapy for these complications have several degrees. your knowledge is never complete. you must understand this.
