Do any airlines offer student discounts? Input for sponsor ideas appreciated?

My son is a college student here in south Louisiana, and is attending a French Immersion summer semester at a university in Nova Scotia this July.

Are there any airlines that offer student discounts?
We're both looking online, and at previous questions here, but no luck so far.

Also, anyone with input as far as organizations or sponsors that aid college students with continuing education expenses or the like, would be so helpful.

I am researching any type of French groups or organizations that might offer assistance....but it's mostly in French!
His university is helping him with tuition, but the additional costs are still quite high.

Between Canada's two major airlines (Air Canada and Westjet), neither offer any student discounts of which I'm aware. However, I assume that he's going to the Universit茅 Sainte-Anne, in Pointe d'脡glise - they have a pretty well known immersion programme that a lot of Atlantic Canadian university students attend. Getting from Halifax International Airport to there via Acadien Bus Lines, the bus service does offer a student discount (check out their website). Unfortunately, that's about all the markdown your student status would get. Can't say I know of any organisations, though. The best most students get is some assistance from their home university, which it sounds like you're getting.

Flying Air Canada, on the cheapest fare, with no frills, is the best markdown you'll get. And FYI, you can print off your boarding pass from home 24 hours before departure on AC. DO THAT. It'll guarantee your seat, rather than waiting at the airport to be assigned a seat and risking getting bumped from the flight. (AC is notorious for it.)
