Why do Americans buy in the the pharmaceutical scam?

People used to make it thru just fine w/o doping themselves and their children up. ADD in kids? I've never seen an un-hyper, perfectly focused 9 year old. Restless Leg Syndrome? Anxiety, poor diet, and sedentary lifestyle cause that, which are all rampant in western society. Depression? Look around. Everyone should be severely depressed, but again sedentary living, poor diet, etc contribute to it. Speed to lose weight, erections, hair growth, nail fungus, energy, sleep aids, Not to mention half the pills you can order via telivision will have a class action suit in the near future for causing death or serious illness.

Why do people see something on TV and think that's the answer to all their problems w/o even researching it?

I'm not saying some people aren't really suffering but when you think about the millions of people buying into this advertisement propaganda, how many pills will we be on in 20,30,40 years?

we have become a society that is becoming increasingly lazy and more reliant on a quick fix for the problems we have or may be convinced we have by the drug makers constant bombardment of ads. we are becoming hypochondriacs listening to ads plus it's easier to take a pill than change our lifestyles. but i think the ads are the biggest contributer to this. i opened a Readers Digest recently and it seemed that a 3rd of the mag was drug ads. that's crazy. that's not to say some don't need help. personally, Prozac changed my life. i don't take it anymore, but because of my time on it, i learned how to be a different person.

I think this is a great question for society to ponder.
Also, I noticed you didn't mention all the drugs that have been recalled, and millions in lawsuits that already have or are happening. The FDA uses the American public as guinea pigs for their new concoctions.
I am very concerned as to where this will lead the future of our country.

because people are idiots. 99% believe what they hear and cannot think for themselves. they also do not want to be inconvenienced. so, they have a minor issue, want an IMMEDIATE solution, hear about a "great new medication" on the TV, go to the doctor, and get it "fixed".
isn't feeding your normal, active child a pill to chill them out a lot easier than getting off your fat a$$ to play with them? heck yes, it is. Americans are LAZY and stupid. most of them, anyway.
