Where can I find accurate journals of medical discoveries on topics such as AIDS or cancer?

I am interested in entering the medical research field when I am older and would like to know where I can find out what kind of things have been found and what kind of research has already been done about various diseases. I have been to a few sites but they all require a fee to print the articles so I would highly prefer a free yet legit site.

Check out CINAHL. You can be very specific about what you are looking for....dates, topics, authors, etc.

You can look on PubMed. It's a site run by the national Library of Medicine and it indexes lots of medical journals. You can search by subject and find articles on anything. Also access is free. Go to www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov

Also, depending on where you study and/or work, your institution will have access to other journal indexing sites that you will be able to use to access things you can't get on PubMed.

I hope this helps!

Good luck in your future medical research!
