Moving out, college finances- question for you experienced adults and students!?

I'm living in California right now and am planning to move to Washington State by late December/ early January. I can't stand living in Cali anymore, and my mom really can't afford to take care of me anymore... and I sure can't keep living in Orange County on my own- it's so expensive!! I will be moving with my boyfriend and my best friend. I have a grandfather who will pay my tuition and books, but will not pay for my living expenses. Any job I get will be some minimum wage job, I'm sure, and will NOT cover my living expenses... I'm kinda living with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and that will be a struggle getting in 15 hours a week and going full time... maybe it will cover gas, if I'm lucky.

I expect these to be my expenses:

Rent: around $300-$350
Car payment: $150
Food?
Utilities?
Health insurance?
Car insurance?
Whatever else!

This is my first time on my own... I guess I actually have a few questions...

How much will the other expenses cost that I realize now I have no clue about?
Should I marry my boyfriend (we've been together two years, it wouldn't JUST be for financial reasons) for more money as an independent on the FAFSA?
Even if he has bad credit?
Can I get financial aid from Washington state, even if I'll only have been living there a month or two before school starts? How do I become a resident?

I'm trying my damndest to save up right now, and I would really like to apply for financial aid and student loans ahead of time... but how can I fill out these applications with all the information they'd need to know about my living arrangements- if I'm not even there yet?

I'm terribly lost and the past month or two, I've been planning, researching, and coming to these crappy questions that need to be answered- this is my first yahoo answers questions, and I thought this would be a good place to ask... so, here I go. I hope you all can help me!

I'm afraid I don't have good news. First, you need to prepare your grandfather to pay out of state tuition for you. Probably for the next 4 years.

Out of state tuition at Washington State is $25,000 a year.

Grandpa needs to be totally aware you may always be deemed an out of state resident of Washington because you are not financially dependent and all the other reasons. Here is what to do to gain residency at Washington State. Unfortunatly it doesn't look like you'd be able to it with HIM paying your tuition AND you not working at least 30 hours a week and being completely self supporting.

Yes, you can get fin aid from the federal governemnt www.fafsa.ed.gov by going to most schools, but you need to apply now. Yes, now. Also be aware they won't give you more money because you choose to attend an out of state school. In otherwords, I guarantee you won't get 25K worth of aid. Maybe if you are a freshman 5500 a year in student loans, maybe grants if your parents are poor.

Don't marry a boyfriend who can't manage his money. If your parents are poor and your husband works full time all you may wind up with (by marrying him) is more loan money...Bad bad bad.

You don't have to know exaclty about your living arangements to fill out appliations to schools and to do fin aid. You can always go back and change it if you change your mind.

Good luck and welcome to Yahoo Answers.
Ask away!!!

Be honest,It is gonna take some time to find the answer for your question.Try to have a look the resource here for reference.http://car-insurance.bestips.info/car-in...

You are a state resident when you recieve a state driver's license.
Do this as soon as possible. Even before the move if possible.
You should apply for aid at leat 6-12 months ahead of time and NOT at the last minute.
For food budget $5 a day if you eat groceries and not fast food.
Marriage should not happen without a substantial cash reserve.
The school has a counselor who can help you fill out forms.
