What are the CURRENT major issues plaguing Rwanda?

I have to compose a general policy statement for my International Relations class, Rwanda being my assigned country. I've been researching feverishly, only to find solely genocide-related information.

What CURRENT issues does Rwanda face?
Specific examples would be lovely, especially with some background information. Short, general examples will not suffice (i.e. poverty, AIDS, ethnic conflict).

What has Rwanda recently (2000-2008, I'd say) accomplished?
What is Rwanda's relation with the rest of the world?
-Again, specific examples please.

Rwanda has come along way since the Genocide 18 years ago. At the moment Rwanda is among the country with high growth in Africa probably second after Ghana. It was estimated at around 5%
The country is obviously developing if you look at the infrastructures being developed around such as the modernization of the Capital City Kigali. There is focus on IT and this shows on how fast the internet connection is being introduced...a few points to show how the country is developing...but you can of course do your own research.


Some people(human rights watch organizations) claim that there is no human right although the country is developing, but i think this is due to the fact that they ignore the culture and the specific situation Rwanda face. For example they would want to adapt the western way of governing to a Rwandan population with a different understanding and culture.
Nevertheless, last few days it has been Rwanda all over in the news in Africa. 56% of the newly elected parliament are women which is a step ahead of many countries in the world if not the first.
My answer is based on the fact that I am from Rwanda, however does not make me an expert.
