If I were a psychologist, how would I go about using illegal psychedelics for research?

I'm very interested in DMT. I also wouldn't mind using heavy psychedelics to aid in therapy for willing patients.

You would first have to have such a study approved by an IRB (institutional review board).

The likelihood of that happening is extraordinarily low.

unless you can get a permit for use in actual legitimate experiments ( which is pretty hard if not impossible to get)then you might just want to do "private" research.N-N DMT has been illigal for quite a while,and recently the legal version 5-meo-DMT was made illegal also.Although there are many plants it can be extracted from,youd want to do a chack to make sure its N'N DMT as that is the chemical excreted by our brains.
