Questions about Lucid Dreaming?

I've been doing a little research on Lucid Dreaming, and I'm interested in accomplishing it. However, I have a few questions about how to go about doing this:

1. Do certain amino acids help aid the coming of a lucid dream, like L-Tryptophan?

2. How can you better prepare yourself to remember your dreams so you can keep a dream journal?

3. If you've tried it, how many attempts did it take before you could lucid dream?

4. Any other tips would be appreciated!

Also: What do you do if you can't remember your dreams at all?

1. Yes there has been some testimonials that the product works.

2. Keep your journal by your bedside. Learn to write using keywords. Supply the details later. Practice. Write down your every dream (even if not lucid). Make sure you clear your mind of any negative thoughts before you hit the sack. Stay calm. Don't force it.

3. I haven't tried it myself. But in a controlled environment I have observed subjects while in the state of lucid dreaming.

4. Don't try the drug-induced lucid dreaming unless you're 100% sure of what you're doing. And if you do, ask a friend to observe you. You could do further research on aromatherapy. Certain scents are known to induce lucid dreaming. At least, it is less invasive.

Keep a dream journal close to your bed and write in it as soon as you wake, even if it's in the middle of the night. Drink plenty of fluids or eat melon before sleeping. Travelling on a bus or train overnight can also encourage lucid dreaming. And last of all thinking about lucid dreaming before sleeping and on waking for a long period of time will also encourage lucid dreams and dreams where you become aware that it is a dream and you can change the "story" as you go along. I explored all of this when I was young!
