Is Christianity the most logical religion to follow, because there are the most followers? |
and, as weak as the 'evidence' is, at least there is a "bible" that has survived so many years and is considered the most important book in the world? p.s. by 'kool-aid', no offense to christians. i acknowledge that i may be wrong and maybe there is a Christian God Even if the majority of people in this world were Buddists(for example), First off, you should follow what you truly believe and what you FEEL takes you to the person you want to be, not by who's followed by more people. There's not a whole lot of logic in most religions anyway. Secondly, I think christianity is actually only the SECOND largest followed religion. I could be wrong on that point though. Well the setup is illogical. It would mean that in the very beginning faith was the least logical due to the paucity of followers. But Jesus placed no emphasis on the numbers of followers. So, in sum, you are looking for reasons based on numbers to believe in Someone who disclaimed numbers in the Faith he recommended. No, you can't base your beliefs on who has the most followers. but i still believe that it is the one and only way. but also the real Christians who believe all, not some of what the bible says are the true Christians, not the people who go to church once a month and get ripped or wasted on Friday night. That doesn't follow. Just because a lot of people hold a particular belief, that doesn't make their belief logical, or even true. And Christianity is certainly neither... And a lot of people can be wrong. Just because it has the most followers doesn't make it logical. Think about how many scientologists there are considering their beliefs. No, Chinese religions. ummm not really but kinda. So, the majority of people in the south thought slavery was a good idea. Does that mean it's right? if thats what it takes to turn you to christianity...then so be it. Becoming a Christian has nothing to do with the number of followers, its all about the most convincing proof and evidence. the main evidence i got was not the Bible surprisingly, it was God. when i became a Christian i wasnt sure it was the right thing to do. but what happened below changed me and my faith. Man's logic? Maybe not. The truth of God is not revealed through flesh and blood but through the spirit. I once called myself atheist and many spiritual truths I had no idea about. Our calendar does also hint to a post Christ Jesus era. Actually, I dont know if Christianity has more followers than Islam; I was thinking Islam has more followers or it comes in a close second. cuz its the truth.. |
