God is an entity, not a person. Don't answer if you haven't bothered to read full description?

I've done some researching and some serious thinking and I've come to the conclusion that god is merely an entity. This means that god is not a person like you and me, he doesn't haven't feelings or thoughts and that he might as well just be mindless energy that connects everything together.

I believe this because of prayer. How many times has the god that so many believe in, the one with feeling and emotions, come to the aid of little African boys about to get their limbs cut off? How many times has he come to those dying painfully in hospital? How many babies has he saved from a burning building when the mother is on her knees, praying to god that the baby will just live?

My question is, do you really think that god cares about you and the things you desire and cherish in your life? Do you really think he cares about every minor detail that you pray over every night, when he doesn't care about the African boy who's praying that his limbs aren't severed?

Listen. If you Christians weren't so ignorant of the evils in this world, you would understand where I'm coming from and why I claim god to be a mindless entity. Take a stroll through a hospital and after that you can tell me if god exists or not. You're so blinded by false traditions that you'd rather spend your life at church, rather than help people. The whole act of your religion is based on the fear of hell, which reflects your own selfishness. Satan does this, Satan does that blah blah blah. No. It's ignorant selfish people like Christians that would rather help themselves get into a heaven than help people.
Oh, and let me guess. I'm a satanist because I wrote this? lol. For once, do something for this earth Christians, rather than dedicate your life to a god that let's more wrong occur than you.

I don't think that your description could be considered a god in the sense of the religions that worship. I never thought that god would answer prayers or had any interest in the people who populate the earth. In truth, I never believed there was a god but I really wanted to. In the end, I came to the conclusion that if there is a mindless energy that binds everything together, it's not a god. I'd rather think that it's nature.

I don't believe in god, but if I had to give my idea of one, I think it would just be a sort of mindless force in the universe, like a type of creating energy. It wouldn't "care" about anything, but it would be responsible for things existing in some way.

God is an idea that people created to explain things, to create order, to control, and to have a personal higher force in their life that cares about them and gives a damn what happens.

I think your summary of the problem is right on the money. But I don't know about the conclusion. Given the fact that a finite mind can't possibly comment on the motivations of a hypothetical being, it is just as reasonable to fall back on Leibniz's best of possible worlds or Plantinga's free will defense as it is to conclude that God is a non-personal entity.

God is a person why because he created you and the world and everything else... also you need faith that he will answer your prayer and he will but not the way you expect sometimes if he was an entity could he have enough love to send his only begotten son to this earth

How is it that you think that God doesn't care about you just because he doesn't fulfill every single prayer? Hasn't God done enough...like create the Earth and all it's beauty for us to enjoy? You have no idea what God is. God cares about the eternal soul and does not interfere with our going on here on the earth. Those things you mentioned are not done by God, but by the gods other people serve.satan is his name and he came to kill, rob and loot. he has done that exactly. Look at the source of slavery in the world. It prevailed until this very century in Africa. Their peoples are still oppressed by their own beliefs, creeds and religions. Look closely to African geopolitical dispersion and you will find that muslim countries dominate the entire region. What is their fruit. Their gods are providing these people what they have, misery, oppression, ignorance, hopelessness, traditions. No matter ho much help these people receive from the west, they are literally accursed in their nations. Look Ethiopia, Sudan, Rwanda, etc. They literally are reaping what their previous civilizations sawed. It is sad, but it is not God to be blame for that. Man is and their gods to which they sacrifice their children.

YES, he cares. when nobody believed in God he sent his only begotten Son in the world to died for our sins. So that we might live through Him, believers and non believers. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

As you can see GOD HAS FEELINGS, He's not no entity. He is not a mindless energy that connects everything together. Yes God does care about us. He proved that on Calvary. I'm going to say this, your a fool. You honestly lack the knowledge of who God really is.
Children are Gods children. He cares and loves them all. Even you. why do you think there are so many christian organizations that are in Africa helping the people that live over their out. I don't see any atheist organizations that are helping the homeless, the abandon, the poor, the weak, and the disparate.

Of course God cares. God cares about all of His children and everything that happens to them.

However.

He did give us free will, and in giving us free will, we are allowed to do pretty much whatever we want. And some people out there - frankly, are not very good people. And they do horribly evil things. But God still loves them and the people they do things to. God's love is so immense, it is not something we can easily understand.

In the bible the Lord states that man was created in his image. Yes our Heavenly Father has a body of flesh and bones.Do not get confused with the agency of man. God is not the one cutting off limbs. God has given us the right to chose. I testify to you that God lives. He does answer prayers in His own time and sometimes we do not like the answers that we receive. Also remember that Satan has powers also. Only Satan would say that God has no body, feelings or thoughts. Yes he cares about all of his children. Yes, some may die at the hand of another person but in the end every one will receive their reward in the end.

wow you think just because people pray that he doesn't care? you are messed up it's the fact those examples don't live that shows he cares. He is taking them out of a world that only gets worse the older a person gets, he is bestowing his mercy upon those souls and taking them home. by their deaths, God shows just how much he loves and cares for us. Answers to prayers aren't always the ones we want, but he knows what is best for us, and what answers he gives us are the best for us. You are thinking the negative over the positive, is it sad that babies and young children die everyday all over the world, yes, but it is what God thinks is best for them.
